The ICE WINE Furmint 2022 - 375ml Organic/Kosher/Vegan
The 2022 ice wine year was very modest. Only a few ice wines could be produced this vintage, but at the HAFNER winery, it was nevertheless a good reason to celebrate! The 50th ice wine harvest since 1971 was harvested! And with the Furmint variety, a true rarity that is only available at HAFNER! (Furmint is used in famous sweet wines in Tokaj, Hungary, but it is new for ice wine.) Harvested by hand, four months after the regular harvest date, on the first frosty night at suitable temperatures below -8°C on January 30, 2023.
Very nice complexity! A delicate nose of acacia blossoms and caramel on the palate. A drinkable sweet wine with a complex and balanced body. After a while in the glass, the character gradually changes to a more balanced, fruity type with exotic fruits and a long, honey-sweet finish.
